A picture which sold for less than £1 in a clearance store is set to turn the tables on the fortunes of a local charity after auctioneers valued it at around £3,000. Jo Heaven, the founder of the charity Empower, which supports various projects in The Gambia, discovered the fabric print while browsing at the Barnados Clearance centre in Cavendish Square.
