The sports sector of the country has in recent years been mired in controversies. There was the settled, yet unresolved Gambia National Olympic saga. There was also The Gambia Football Federation conundrum. The recent drastic steps taken by the National Sports Council to ostracise a number of sports organisations was another interesting episode added to the already dramatic events that beset our sports industry.
