Africa and the outside World: the politics of survival and ascendancy

As the globe moved from one 'order' to the other, so has continental Africa moved together in a parade of uncertainty, giving the valour to the outside world for competition. Since the inception of the civilised society, the state system and the realist ideology taken a centre-stage in global political discourse, three world orders emerged at different epochs all giving descriptions of inter-state interactions on the global stage and more importantly the struggle for survival.
