The delegation will includes Abdoulaye Der, director of sports at TFM TV, Moussa Thior,  director of Centre National D’information et de Documentation at the Ministry of Youths and Employment (CNID) and Serigne Diagne, director of publication at Dakaractu.

During their two-day visit, they are expected to finalise arrangement for the April 25-26 symposium and conference with members of the Gambian chapter of the Senegalese-Gambian Association for Integration and Socio-Economic Development (SGAISD), the organisers of the event. Their working visit will cover such areas as media coverage of the event taking place at the Paradise Suites Hotel.
Speaking to The Standard yesterday, Saikou Jarju, president of (SGAISD), Gambia, said their visit will centre on media coverage in Senegal regarding the Banjul conference which is expected to be aired by some of Senegal’s major TV stations including RDV, RTS, 2STV, and TFM.
”The other purpose of their visit is to map out strategies for gaining optimal media coverage of the event on newspapers and radio stations in Senegal before, during and after the symposium and conference. The two-day event is expected to be viewed by millions of people across the globe given the satellite and uninterrupted television coverage in Senegal and The Gambia to their loyal audiences in Africa, Europe, Asia and America,” Jarju revealed.
He expressed his optimism that ‘The Great Senegambia Debate’ will trigger a new look at “the unique ties between the two nations and reflect on the centuries-old historical ties and relationship in order to open a new frontier in the Banjul-Dakar relations through a sustainable grass roots ninitiative.”
