A court in Bissau has sentenced a woman to three years in jail coupled with a fine of CFA 500,000 for letting her three daughters undergo female genital mutilation in September, reports said Friday. The same penalty was given to the cutter while the father of one of the girls received a prison sentence and a fine of CFA 187.000.
