The draw for the African Nations Cup for home- based players known as CHAN will be made on April 5 in Cairo, with The Gambia going into the draw alongside seven others from Zone West A. The other nations in this Zone are Senegal, Sierra Leone, Mali, Liberia, Republic of Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Mauritania. The April 5 draw will place the eight nations in the Zone into groups one of which will contain The Gambia.
