Alpha Ousman Jallow withdraws from BAC chairperson race

Alpha Ousman Jallow, a nominated Independent Candidate for the chairmanship of the Brikama Area Council, has withdrawn the race, a statement from the Election House confirmed yesterday.
According to the IEC, the Returning Officer Mr. Samboujang Njie filled in the acceptance of withdrawal form and handed it over to Alpha Ousman Jallow In pursuance to section 51 subsection (2) of the Election Act.
The withdrawal of Jallow, a development expert, leaves the race among Bakary Saibou Sanneh of APRC, Fansu Sanneh of GDC, Sheriffo Sonko of UDP and Lamin Jamba Jammeh, an independent candidate.
