ARRDO, Orphan in Need give food packs to Muslims

The Africa Relief Response and Development Organisation, ARRDO, in partnership with Orphan in Need, has recently doled out gifts to needy Muslims in observance of the holy month of Ramadan.
The presentation of the food packs was held at the organisation’s office in Bakau.

The director of Africa Relief Response and Development Organisation Ansumana Dibba, said the organisation’s aim is to help widows and orphans in The Gambia, adding that the food packs will ease the burden of Ramadan expenses.

He said with support from Orphan in Need, the organisation will provide about seven thousand food packs to widows and orphans, noting that the beneficiaries will receive rice, onions, sugar, dates and cooking oil.
Khadijatou Drammeh, a beneficiary from Busumbala, expressed delight and thanked the donors.
