On behalf of his government and the people of The Gambia, His Excellency extended heartfelt congratulations to Mr Pap Saine, the Managing Director of The Point newspaper and its entire staff for his recent award as AFRICA’S MOST RESPECTED CEO conferred by the Board of Directors of The Business Executive Ltd.
In a letter conveyed to Mr Saine, the President congratulated him for what he described as a well- deserved accolade. The President stated that the award is a proud moment for the Point, the people of The Gambia and his humble self.
His message also lauded the dedication to professionalism and commitment to journalism that Mr Saine has demonstrated over the years, stating it earned him “the respect and honour the profession demands”.
Mr Saine emerged triumphant after coming up against competitors from Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.
