Brusubi upper and senior holds 2nd graduation

Brusubi Upper Basic and Senior Secondary School recently held its 2nd annual speech and prize-giving ceremony for grades 9 and 12.
Addressing the gathering, Omar J Ndure, guest speaker and Head of Gambia Association of Teachers of English, (GATE) spoke on the theme self-discipline, tolerance and self-integrity.
He advised the gathering of teachers and students to be good to each other and not rejoice at the downfall or misfortune of other people.

Peter O Jatta, prinicipal of the school highlighted the achievements of the school reporting with satisfaction the improvement in discipline and high-level of performance of the students.
He revealed that in the school’s first year, a student scored aggregate 6 while in the second year aggregate 7 was achieved and five students are currently pursuing various courses at the University of The Gambia.
The head boy, Sanusi Camara alias Barrister, thanked the school administration and the entire staff and advised his fellow graduates to continue the “hard work, steadfast and law abiding.”

Dawda Jaiteh, a senior teacher of the school thanked the parents for their co-operation while enjoining the graduates to be worthy ambassadors of this “great institute.”
According to him, Brusubi Upper and Senior Secondary is on the path to become a high performing school. The school would continue to run classes during the summer and solicits support from philanthropists and well wishing-companies, NGOs and generous individuals.
