Construction company Copri, its runaway CEO and Bao Gambia are said to be owing the Gambia government 227 million dalasis.
In a statement issued last evening, the Assets Management & Recovery Corporation informed that Copri Construction Enterprises, CEO Paolo Pelizzari an Italian and Bao Gambia Limited are judgement debtors owing The Gambia D227,388, 999.73.
“All properties that Paolo Pelizzari own or has interest in or his associate companies are all under the sheriff [of the high court’s] attachment based against Paolo Pelizzari and his associate companies,” AMRC explained.

It therefore advised individuals and corporate interest in The Gambia and elsewhere not to be “scammed into buying any fixed assets or acquire shares from Copri, Mr Pellizari or Bao Gambia as their assets in The Gambia are under attachment.”
AMRC did not state what warranted the issuance of the germane press statement. No one at Copri or Bao were available for immediate comment on the matter by the time we went to press last night.
