The Gambia College board and students on Saturday conferred a special award on Momodou Turo Darboe and his Vision Development Foundation for their unparalleled individual support to the institution that graduated 2154 students at the same ceremony.
The Principal of the College, Aboubacar Jallow, said Mr Darboe’s kind gestures toward the college have enormously contributed to meeting the many urgent needs of the institution which he said is Gambia’s oasis of knowledge since 1952.
“I wish to sincerely thank Mr Darboe and his team for the prompt and generous response to the institution’s programmes,” he said.
Represented by Director of Operations of VDF Saikou Fofana, Mr Darboe and his VDF donated 20 brand new computers among other things.
