He said GDC is a liberal and moderate party which detests any form of extremism.
He continued: “The party has made a name for itself in the country since inception. It is quite evident by the large support and appreciation that the GDC has done a lot for Gambians, especially during the December 2016 presidential election.”

He said the GDC played a very crucial role in ensuring that president Jammeh’s 22 year dictatorship was brought to an end.
“I wish to extend a special message of gratitude and appreciation to all Gambians, especially GDC supporters for their steadfastness and readiness to move along with the GDC in its fight for Gambians,” he stressed.
He said the party leader is very glad in the manner the GDC demonstrated competence and has been widely accepted by many Gambians regardless of political affiliation, because of the party’s peaceful way of doing politics.

“As supporters of the GDC it is also important we continue to unite in the spirit of togetherness, as enshrined in our party manifesto, for the future development of our party and country in general,” he added.
He said GDC will continue to stand for social justice, women and youth empowerment, among other development aspirations for the interest of the Gambian people.
