Humanity First gives out D25,000.00 to Tawuto Village

Humanity First under the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at The Gambia on Thursday donated twenty-five thousand dalasi to the community of Tawuto in the West Coast Region.
The money was meant to fence their Muslim Cemetery upon their request to the Association.

Presenting the cash Alhagie Ebrihima Mbowe, Deputy Amir of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, who represented Amir Baba F Trawally, said: “Humanity First being an organ under the Ahmadiyya Jama’at is responsible for helping people. That is why we called it humanity first. People first, before anything else. We do not see religion, ethnicity, politics or anyone.”

He said if the cemetery is abandoned for long, there could be human or animal interference.
He said the money they donated to them is small but he vowed that there are more development coming to Tawuto Mbowe.

Kawsu Kinteh, Chairman Humanity First asserted that their Association is helping everybody irrespective of your religious faith or tribes. According to him, the Community of Tawuto wrote to them and appealed for assistance to fence their Muslim Cemetery.
He added that when they received the request, they were very excited because to fence a cemetery is a very thing for them.

Kinteh expressed happiness over the villagers for both Muslim and Christians were living together in peace and harmony.
John Alfret Gomez, the Alkalo explained that since their forefathers Christians and Muslims were settling in the village.

”So that cordial relation has been existing since the colonial era,” he said.
He promised that he will also continue to follow that foot step of his parents, adding that is an eye opener for every one of them. He expressed delight over the gesture.

For his part Alagie Janneh, who represented Honorable Abdoulie Ceesay National Assembly Member, he said cemetery is the final destination of everybody. He praised the Jama’at for the assistance they are rendering to the people of this nation and complementing the efforts of the Government.
