The chairman of the Vision Development Foundation Momodou Turo Darboe over the weekend presented 7000 bags of sugar to all regions in the country to ease the burden of Ramadan expenses on Muslims.
The presentation was presided over by Saikou Fofana, the PRO and director of operation of the VDF, who told a gathering of Governors or mayors and or their representatives that the sugar is meant for distribution to as many beneficiaries as possible in their regions.
Mr Fofana again outlined the objectives of the VDF which he said is to complement government’s efforts in serving the people with their needs and aspiration.
He said Mr Momodou Turo Darboe and the VDF are committed to helping the people from the grassroots to attain their daily needs especially in the Ramadan.
The sugar was distributed as follows:
KMC, 579 bags, NBR 579, LRR 429, West Coast, 679 CRR 679, BCC479 URR 479. Other organizations such as Tango and NGO Affairs also benefited.
Meanwhile the VDF is again operating a daily distribution of food to the Muslims at its headquarters in Talinding accessed by thousands of people each year.
