“My message to the citizens is one key thing this parlimentry election is the law making body. Yes, people participant massively in the presidential election but the presidential election is as important as the parliamentary election because these are the people who will decide for future and everything. If we elect them, these are the people we can go and account directly and tell them this is what we want and this is where things are going wrong.  So I think it is important and my message is let us go and participate in this parliamentary election because this is one key body which is very very vital in nation building,” he said.

“The purpose of the program today is to have a reflection on the past presidential election that took place on December 4th where a president was elected, and the newly elected president has been inaugurated for another 5 years”.

Jallow said the challenges faced during the past presidential election included minimal time allocated for voting and accessiblity for persons with disabilities.
