Parachute Charity Organization donates stationery to Bakau LBS

Parachute Charity Organization yesterday donated learning and teaching materials to the less privileged students of Bakau Lower Basic School,
The founder of the charity Lamin Njie said they “believe development and resilience of nations depend on the education of their citizenry. This non-profit is run by a board of directors all of whom are committed and passionate about education, service to humanity and volunteer their valuable.

“The aim of the initiative is to focus on sponsoring school children in primary education from first to sixth grade. This is a crucial stage in the formative years of children as well as in their educational development; support to children at this stage of their lives make all difference as they grow to face bigger challenges ahead.”

He said as youth of this peaceful country, they need to have charities that will give back to society.
He Parachute charity is known to rescue the children from the less privileged families, and they need all hands on deck to see the way forward for the Gambia they are yarning.

Speaking on behalf of the school, Mr. Saihou Ceesay, said: “I am highly impressed with the charity for their timely intervention because they brought some learning and teaching materials for the needy students, such gesture will go a long way in helping the government schools as said government cannot do it all”.
He said the school needs more support from government, philanthropists and organizations in the areas of toilet facilities and renovation of the old buildings that are almost dilapidated.
