Police nab 38 more for robbery, others

The Anti Crime Unit of the Gambia Police Force has yesterday arrested 38 individuals accused of armed robbery, theft, pickpocketing and smoking cannabis.
The anti crime unit was set up by the Gambia Police Force to clamp down on criminals.

Eleven of the arrestees are destitute accused of involving in series of crimes, 5 arrested for cattle theft in Paradise Estate in Old Yundum, 2 notorious criminals known for breaking and stealing mobile phones, 2 arrested with packs of suspected cannabis in Dippa-Kunda and Bakoteh, whiles 6 are arrested for allegedly smoking cannabis, 1 found in abandoned vehicle, and 5 arrested as rogues and vagabonds in Westfield.
Out of the people arrested, 10 are Senegalese and one from Guinea Bissau.

Among them are also two young men who stole 60,000 dalasi, two smart phones and tablet from one old woman whiles stealing household materials from other neighbors.
