Re-elected APRC councilor for Bundung Six Junction Sulayman Jammeh has challenged Gambian politicians to work to reconcile the country and avoid tribal sentiments, saying it is fast dividing the country.
“I urge politicians when campaigning to use messages that will unite our electorates rather than words that will divide our supporters and the country, which is not encouraging at all,” Mr Jammeh disclosed.
The APRC man said The Gambia is “bigger than any one of us”.

In an exclusive interview with The Standard at his home where the councilor also thanked his supporters for the “trust and confidence” bestowed on him, he said: “People trust us as councilors to represent them, in that case, we need to live up to expectations rather than making empty noise.”
He promised to not rest on his “laurels,” saying he will work “extensively to ensure that at least every house have access to taps.”
