Over the years, SK Jaiteh & Sons extended similar gestures to hospitals and other causes.
As far back as the early 90s, SK Jaiteh & Sons were among the first Gambian private sector operators to come to the aid of the arriving Sierra Leonean refugees who were provided with clothes and bedding on their first night off the boat.

Last week, prison officials praised MrJaiteh and company for caring for the less unfortunate among the society. Mr Jaiteh humbly replied that he deserves no praises for performing his civic responsibility. ”One must always think of the needy and the unable,” Mr Jaiteh humbly noted.
