Ramatoulie Jobe, a senior Banjul citizen and respected political voice now supporting President Barrow’s NPP has said the national assembly and local government elections would come to be like the presidential- a resounding victory for the NPP.

Speaking to The Standard Jobe, also fondly called “Yayi Banjul’ however cautioned NPP supporters and officials to be respectful to their opponents and never engage in any sort of provocation when celebrating their victory.

He said President Barrow’s quality style of leadership and personality has made him acceptable to the electorates.

To the other political parties who contested the elections and lost, Ms Jobe reminded them that the common bond that Gambians shared should be maintained at all times, adding that The Gambia is far bigger than a political party or an individual and therefore nothing should be done to disturb the prevailing peace in the country.

She commended the security agencies, media, civil society organisations, and traditional authorities for the respective roles they played before, during, and after the presidential election.
