Dr Mary Shuttleworth is on a world educational tour to The Gambia which will see her stay in the country until Sunday with Youth for Human Rights the Gambia and Beakanyang hosting her.
Dr Mary has been crisscrossing the globe since 2014 visiting 90 countries.

Briefly speaking upon her arrival, Dr Mary said she has observed and seen the good work that has been done by the local team here in The Gambia, going to schools teaching the youths about human rights.
Dr Mary said the international organisation’s main purpose is to teach youth about human rights, specifically the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights and inspire them to become agents of peace and tolerance.

This year’s tour targets Mexico, Costa Rica, Gambia, India, Cambodia, Taiwan, and Washington DC.
She expressed joy to visit The Gambia after hearing so much about the leadership’s desire to build a country that will be a model for human rights on the continent.
“Human rights abuses are everywhere; that is why I am here and do the work I do for 15 years,” she said.
The Youth for Human Rights International (YHRI) is a non-profit organization founded in 2001 in Los Angeles and it aims to teach young people about UDHR which clocks 7th decade this year.
