Health authorities in The Gambia have announced the introduction of a human papilloma virus vaccine to reduce and prevent cervical cancer in The Gambia. In the pilot scheme, the HPV vaccine will be administered to girls aged 9 to 13 from Lamin to Kalagi in the West Coast Region.
