On the 25th October Al Jazeera observed 300 seconds of silence on air in solidarity with three of its staff members who have now spent 300 days in custody in Egyptian jails. Baher Mohamed, Mohamed Fahmy and Peter Greste were arrested in Cairo on December 29, 2013, under false charges of aiding the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood and spreading false news.
