Today is the big day for hardworking sportsmen and sportswomen who will be conferred with the prestigious Sports Journalists Association of The Gambia, SJAG, awards for their toils and sweats over the past year for country and clubs. Dozens of names are nominated under different categories, ranging from athletes of the year from home and abroad, coaches, teams, and businesses in support of sports. A long list of legends past and present, alive or posthumous is to be unveiled for honours.
The event is tonight at the Djembe Beach Hotel near Poco Loco starting at 8pm.
