GAF FC coach, Ebou Jarra has described his side’s exit in the CAF Champions League competition as a shame.
GAF came to the game against Zanaco of Zambia on Saturday with the hope of overturning a 3-0 deficit in Zambia.

But as GAF was ready to do the impossible, Zanaco was much more prepared and they easily beat GAF 3-1 in a virtually empty Independence Stadium in Bakau.
In a post-match presser, Jarra admitted that his side played against a very good opponent that has good experience in continental club competition.
“It is a shame that we have to bow out but nonetheless, the positive is that we have learned a lot from the game,” he told journalists.

He added: “Zanaco is a very strong and settled team and let us not start looking at GAF, thinking we can beat any team. Yes, before any match you are optimistic.”
Despite the elimination in the CAF competition, Coach Jarra, who won the league in his first year as GAF coach said his side is good enough to win the league, which is currently topped by Gamtel.
Saturday’s result means Gambian Football Clubs, just as the Senior National Team will have to keep the wait for any appearance in the highest pinnacle of African football.
