Commenting, UK Ambassador to The Gambia, Colin Crorkin said: ‘I am delighted that Chevening applications for the academic year 2015/2016 have opened and that the British Embassy Banjul is once again able to send exceptional Gambian students to the UK to gain their masters degree. The Gambia and the UK have a long history together and educational cooperation has been going on for many years. I have met many Gambians who have studied in the UK and all of them speak of the fond memories and experiences they gained from their time at various universities across the UK. Chevening continues to be one of the most prestigious Scholarships in the World with Chevening Alumni taking up senior positions both in The Gambia and around the World. I would urge all those eligible to apply and I look forward to meeting the successful candidates next year.”
Applications must be made online and not sent to the British Embassy. The application deadline is 15th November 2014. To apply please visit – www.chevening.org/gambia or www.chevening.org/apply.]]>
