Yesterday by the end of the one-week notice given by the Normalisation Committee for candidates to be proposed, the NC confirmed it received more proposals nominating Buba ‘Mbye’ Bojang an official of Brikama United FC and Omar Danso, an official of Serekunda central zone, both of them close allies of Mustapha Kebbeh who was the first to file nomination papers.
An NC official told The Standard yesterday that the first part of the electoral process has been completed and that his body will come out with announcement on the candidates to duly nominated.
The details of each candidate’s line-up of officials are not immediately known but credible sources hinted that Mr Kebbeh is almost certainly going to retain his powerful Number 2, Buba Star Janneh if not the rest of his former executive members.
One candidate however has his line-up fairly revealed. Kaba Bajo’s executive will likely include Star Jallow of Gamtel FC, former international referee Malick Sillah, former GFA vice president Salifu Jaiteh and current GFF security cordinator Musa Jammeh among others.
