Speaking through his PRO Fatou Cessay, the vice president said even the recent draw of the groupings in this year’s Super Nawettan was done in the absence of Bakau. “We cannot understand how anyone can leave us out in these very important matters since all the officials have our contacts as they do contact us on other matters, for example, grounds,” he queried.
The Standard contacted Super Nawettan organising committee chairman Lamin Camara who said there had been a communication breakdown as their messages were sent to the old members of the Bakau Sports Committee for which they apologised. He noted that their chief contact and zone president Paco Dampha is currently out of the country, hence the delay in getting across their messages. But Camara said he has since spoken with Mr Ceesay over the matter and everything is now on one plate and Bakau will henceforth attend all Super Nawettan committee meetings and activities.]]>
