The latest demonstration of this normalisation of relations between the continental body and the GFF came in Windhoek, Namibia, last week when GFF president Lamin Bajo was received by Caf president Issa Hayatou.
While Mr Bajo conveyed the gratitude of The Gambia government and the people for the lifting of the Caf suspension, Issa Hayatou equally saluted Mr Bajo for committing to eradicate age-cheating in Gambian football.
Mr Bajo and his second vice president Ebou Faye and adviser Omar Sey were opportuned to watch parts of the concluding stages of the just-ended African Women’s Tournament.
before leaving, Mr Bajo extended an invitation to Caf president Issa Hayatou to visit The Gambia which the Caf president agreed to and said he looked forward to coming to Banjul soon.
