Cricket: Semis in Major Bah Cricket Trophy

Eight schools across Banjul are in the competition organised by the Gambia Cricket Association. Methodist who decided to field sent Rev JC Faye to bat after winning the toss and stopped them 62 runs in 14.4 overs for 10 wickets. Kebba Ceesay top scored for JC Faye with 11 runs while Bai Modou Jack bowled for Methodist and took 4 wickets for 6 runs in 3 overs.

JC Faye could not stop Methodist from scoring 62 runs batting in 10.4 overs and scoring 66 runs for 3 wickets. Bai Modou Jack scored 18 runs the highest run scored for them. Ousman Jeng of Rev JC Faye Memorial School bowled 3 overs and took 2 wickets for 24 runs. Methodist Preparatory School won their first game of the competition by 8 wickets.

Methodist never looked back from that early victory   and are now in the semis for Wednesday when they take on Saint Joseph’s as Albion meets on Saint Mary’s on Thursday.
