They beat Ports Authority 1-0 in a mid-week fixture Tuesday in Banjul to move to 26 points and momentarily third place in the GFF league. In other mid-week fixtures defending champions Steve Biko’s nightmare in all competitions continues, going down 2-0 to Bakau United. Omar Ndong and Lamin Dibba scored one each in separate halves to confine Biko to the root bottom of the pack at just 14 points, more than half way into the season. Bakau United are now 22 points and temporarily among the top six.
The other victors of the sixteenth week are Armed Forces, who beat might Hawks 2-1 in Brikama to move to 19 points and to mid-table
