The donation of the sanitisers came at a time when the West Africa sub-region is battling the deadly and highly contagious Ebola virus that has claimed the lives of at least 4,000 people since the outbreak was reported in Guinea about six months ago.

In handing over the sanitisers, the managing director of the bank, Bolaji Ayodele, recalled that it was not the first time GTBank donated to the health sector saying that in the past the bank had renovated Brikama Health Centre among other interventions in the sector.

At a brief presentation ceremony at the conference hall of the Ministry of Health at the Quadrangle, Banjul, the health minister Omar Sey heaped praise on GTBank for complementing the efforts of The Gambia in the fight against Ebola.
