“I am more than willing to serve in any committee of national interest and whose outcome my contributions would add value to. However I have not been notified nor have I received an appointment to serve in this three -man resolution committee,” Jallow said in the statement.
Jallow, who is also the secretary general of the Gambia Basketball Association,( not its president as erroneously resported) went on to state that: ‘To represent the executive of the GNOC in any capacity would require the approval of its president and board. I therefore think that it would have been wise to wait until such nominations and approval has been made for the story of my involvement to be credible,” he concluded.
Mr Jallow, alongside Ebou Secka and Charles Thomas were the ones named by the National Sports Council to serve in the committee which the NSC chairman Lamin Kolley said would look into all matters of the GNOC and come out with a recommendation for the solution of the crises.
