According to reports monitoring the team’s sojourn in Senegal, the boys will play in the second match of today’s fixtures against one of three other selections from Senegal. Should the Scorpions win, they will be well placed to reach the final of this invitational tourney expected to be watched by top football scouts.

The team departed yesterday, with three experienced coaches led by Steve Biko’s Abdoulie Bojang and assisted by Matarr Mboge of Real de Banjul and Foday Bah of Wallidan. A total of 20 well-oiled home-based players consisting of the best players in the domestic league have been called up for this special tourney which marks the return of The Gambia to international matches.
