“A cash amount of half a million dalasis would be given to anyone who gives information to security officials leading to his arrest,” the release stated while informing that Mr Bojang, a kinsman of President Yahya Jammeh, jumped police bail on Thursday, April 3 and his whereabouts were unknown.

The Office of the President statement added: “Pa Bojang is wanted for stealing and other crimes for which the public is hereby warned not to give him any assistance; a warning is hereby issued that nobody is to hide him or facilitate his escape because drastic action would be taken against anyone helping him in this regard.”

When contacted last evening, the police spokesman, ASP David Kujabi said he could not provide further details on the matter and that he heard the news on the television on Friday evening like everyone else.
