Super Cup finalist Medina return to the arena this evening to open their account in this year’s season. They will meet Istanbul in the group’s second match at 16 hours.
The Talinding team, which won the knockout title last year, has since put last week’s Super Cup loss to Milan behind and are bent on another strong finish in the current season.
Their opponents, Istanbul, are said to have a lethal attack and a disciplined back. Their group which also includes Latrikunda United and Manchester is billed to produce at least a semi-finalist this year. Could it be Medina or Istanbul?
Meanwhile, as we went to press last night, Manchester and Latrikunda were locking horns in this group’s opening match.
Elsewhere, Blue Stars, T-Central, Jola Kunda, One Love and Milan Rossoneri all recorded their victories in their respective groups in this early stages while more than half-a-dozen other matches ended in draws.
