The initiative is supported by the Gambia Olympic Committee GNOC, International Table Tennis Federation ITTF and Paralympics Table Tennis PTT, and it is designed to upgrade the knowledge of the coaches in the game.
The course is being directed by a Nigeria instructor Bosede Kaffo, one of the leading instructors in the world who advised participants to be more creative in their work.
She also urged them to share the knowledge gained from the course with their colleagues as well as to organize frequent competitions.
The president of the GTTA Peter Prom said the future of the sports is in the schools. “We have to help each other and go back to the schools and promote the game at the school levels he told the participants. He advised participants to develop their mentality because the game is a mind game.”
