Turo’s VDF donates modern traffic control car

Vision Development Vision of Turo Darboe over the weekend presented a modern traffic control car to the Mobile Traffic division of the Gambia Police Force.
The car is fitted with different alarms and sirens used for VIP escorting, emergency missions and transporting traffic offenders to police stations.

The vehicle is accompanied by a D1000 monthly fuel voucher for the next six months and another six months warranty maintenance cost, all funded by the VDF.
The commissioner of Mobile Traffic, Lamin King Colley said the CEO of Vision Development Foundation Momodou Turo Darboe is unique in many ways. “He has a good understanding of society and always channels his interventions where the need, impact and beneficiaries would be greater. A good material like this is a contribution to saving lives. The police in general and the IGP in particular is very proud of this gift which will help regulate traffic for public safety.”

Saikou Fofana, spokesman of the VDF said the donation of the car is just another event in the regular philanthropic activities of the VDF under the guidance of CEO Turo Darboe.
At the same presentation, VDF donated D25,000 cheque to the Farato-Bafuloto community as a contribution towards an ongoing road upgrading project. Also, the community of Brusubi Phase II received D8,000 and eight bags of rice as help towards a relief package organised for vulnerable families in the settlement.

The beneficiaries thanked Turo Darboe and his VDF for the kind gesture.
