The Brikama-based regional football body, credited for organising the best and first ever regional league in the country, has announced a robust football calendar outlining its programmes for the 2014-15 season and beyond.
According to the calendar unveiled by secretary general Dodou Bojang, the regional league in the region this year will start on the weekend of 26 to 28 December 2014 and ends on 23 May 2015. The calendar also covered the period from now on to the start of league which is planned for registration of teams interested in playing the qualifiers, the draw and the actual qualifying matches, pre-season meeting with team managers as well as the region’s participation in the December National Youth Conference and Festival in Mansakonko.
On the modalities of registration, the WCRFA is asking all interested teams for the qualifiers to register before 8 November and fulfil the following requirements:
Submit a written application to the secretary general of the WCRFA at the Governor’s Office in Brikama on or before November 8;
Submit attestation letters from the sports committees of the village or town and district at which the club is located and pay into the WCRFA account at GTBank (acc# 204 -258899-110) a registration fee of D5,000 and submit payment receipt to the secretary general on or before 8 November.
