Brufut Utd as ever relied on the masterful passes of their midfield maestro Samsiden Njie but Gunjur Utd defenders stood firm and averted all the dangers thrown at them. Malang Jassey of Gunjur Utd gave an uncosy evening to the visitors’ backline. Combining with Salifu Bojang they created the game’s best chance as Salifu dribbled pass two defenders before laying the ball to the youngster who smashed in a 20 -yard volley which was brilliantly tipped over the bar by the visitors’ goalie Ebrima Mballow.
Brufut responded positively and gave the hosts a nervous ending with long balls in a bid to get late drama but that never troubled the hosts.
