No-To-Alliance to unveil flagbearer tomorrow

The splinter group of the former ruling APRC now called No-To-Alliance Babili Mansa Movement, will tomorrow unveil its flagbearer for the presidential election  with former president Yahya Jammeh expected to lead the unveiling by telephone from his base in Equatorial Guinea.

According to the movement’s media unit, the unveiling will take place at a press conference in Lamin tomorrow morning.

The announcement will mark a major step for the movement, which emerged from divisions within the Alliance for Patriotic Reorientation and Construction (APRC) over the party’s alliance with President Adama Barrow’s National People’s Party (NPP).

Following a long struggle for legitimacy, the movement was formally launched last month bringing together supporters and political figures ahead of the 2026 elections.

At that launching, former president Jammeh, the supreme leader of the group promised that the movement will name a candidate this month.

The flagbearer announcement will be followed by a mega rally at the Buffer zone on Saturday.
