The death has been announced of Bakary Jaiteh (Bakso) a long time politician of the former ruling APRC of former president Yayha Jammeh.
A native of Baddibu Njaba Kunda Bakso served as deputy governor of West Coast.
Despite his fervent strong support for APRC and fierce disagreement with opponents, Bakso was loved across party lines for his humour and courage to deal with issues no matter how thorny. He was endowed great oratory skills and remained until his death an influential member of the APRC. Tributes came from Gambians from all political divide and trades who praised him for always showing the human side of him over whatever differences.
