Red Scorpions Take Female Title

Red Scorpions have landed the women’s title with two matches to spare. After pulling an unassailable 9 points lead with a 2-0 victory over arch rival and reigning champions Interior in the GFF women’s first division league, Red Scorpions can now proudly claim another accolade in their cupboard filled with more than half a dozen titles.
According to the GFF, competition department Red Scorpions have now secured 33 out of a possible 39 points from13 matches and with only two matches to go, Interior who are second at 24 points, cannot catch them.
The Lion share of the points were scored by the ever-flamboyant Adama Tamba with 16 goals from the 39 Red Scorpions scored so far. The rest of the team’s goal haulage was orchestrated by Aminata Camara 4, Penda Colley and Haddy Drammeh, 3 each.
Team coach Choro Mbenga yesterday extended gratitude to fans officials and players for the league success.
