The UIEC provides scholarships to the best students who are studying in Ukraine.
The body has appointed Sussoko Consulting Services as its legal representative in The Gambia with full authority to implement its operations in the country.
Speaking in an interview with The Standard, the chief executive officer of Sussoko Consulting Agency Ibrahima Sussoko disclosed that UIEC presents very good opportunities for Gambians interested in studying in Ukraine. He explained that the UIEC has 197 affiliated universities training students in more than 800 specialties in their chosen language including Ukrainian, English or Russian that lead to worldwide recognised degrees.
According to Sussoko, courses are as cheap as between 2000 to 3600 US dollars per year which could be reduced significantly for those good and lucky enough to get UIEL partial scholarships. “In fact, successful students only pay tuition fees on arrival at their university and not before. For this first year of their operations, prospective students will be offered automatic partial scholarships,” Sussoko said.
For accommodation, Sussoko said the total estimated budget is 600 dollar per year, adding that those lucky to be admitted as students stand to benefit from student exchange programme with universities in Sweden, UK, Poland, USA and Germany.
Asked to explain admission procedures Sussoko said students interested in studying in Ukraine would have to follow a thorough and transparent process of application and those lucky to be admitted will be required to activate their admission within a week of their acceptance. “’The activation fee is 250 dollars which covers documentation and visa processing and cost for courier services all of which is done by the UIEC on behalf of the student,” he said.
Among the courses on offer in Ukraine are Medicine, Performing Arts and Media, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Engineering, Business Administration and scores of others.
Sussoko concluded by saying that the prospectus and details can be found atwww.uiec.org or [email protected].
