Abba Sanyang is new CRR governor

By Lamin Cham

Sheriff Abba Sanyang, a former National Assembly Member for Foni Kansala and one-time deputy executive secretary and later liaison officer of the Senegalo-Gambian Permanent Secretariat has been appointed governor of the Central River Region, impeccable sources told The Standard last night.
Our sources further stated that the appointment was with immediate effect. Mr Sanyang served in the National Assembly for the APRC from 2007 to 2012 and was on one time head of President Jammeh’s Girls’ Empowerment Education Programme, Pegep. He also served at the Gambian Embassy in Cuba in a senior capacity. He replaces Sulayman Barry.
