Killa Ace, 6 others remain at Mile II

Only Rapper Killa Ace and six others arrested in connection with the July 24 demonstrations in Serekunda are still being remanded at Mile II.

Last night the authorities released 17 out of the 24 that were remanded.

According to official sources, initially a total of 57 people were arrested but after preliminary processing, 20 were released and the remaining 37 remanded.

“But when the 37 arrived at their first court hearing, 13 of them managed to escaped among a very rowdy and chaotic crowd.

This left a figure of 24 who were returned to Mile 11.

With 17 of them released yesterday, only 7 remain at Mile II and they include Killa Ace,” an authoritative source told The Standard yesterday.
