Long term UDP media handler quits

Bakary Camara, commonly called Camaraba Official, a long term supporter of the opposition UDP and its media handler has announced his decision to quit the party, saying he is seeking a new beginning elsewhere. He did not state where he is heading though rumours are rife that he may be going to Unite.

Camaraba described his resignation as one of the most difficult political choices. Though he did not explain the reasons for his departure, he made the following philosophical comment: about it: “If you’re no more tasteful in the soup, then quit for a new beginning elsewhere. Don’t wait to be told. See it for yourself. There are writings on the wall for you and everyone to see.”

‎He also lamented that he has been going through a long political agony and felt the need to quit for a new beginning.

‎He thanked the UDP leader Ousainu Darboe whom he described as a father figure.

‎Camaraba said his journey in the UDP which began  in 1996 has helped him built strong relationships, made families, friends, and comrades and increased his knowledge and skills in the media, which brought about the Camaraba Official platform, which became a household name in and outside The Gambia. There has not been any official comment from the party on the matter.
