NDP vows to bring Jammeh back

The National Democratic Party (NDP) has promised that it will facilitate the return of former President Yahya Jammeh and accord him full honours as a former head of state, if it wins on 5 December.

The party’s National President Lamin Jatta made this declaration in Brikamaba as the party tours the country.

He further said an NDP government will respect all former leaders, including Adama Barrow, whom he called “the outgoing president.

Jatta accused the ruling National People’s Party of opportunism and betrayal.

Responding to recent comments on his party by Mamma Kandeh of the GDC, Jatta said Kandeh joined the government because he does not know what is going on, ‘and that is why we took of his regional chairmen the moment he left’.

The NDP national president argued that all the people joining the NPP today are doing so for personal interest, not national interest.

He slammed the government’s Spain labour deal as a scam on desperate youth who flooded the venues of the selection only for just a few to be selected. ”Imagine how much money has been invested by these desperate youths on passport and other processing fees,” he questioned. Earlier in the URR, Kebba Madi Bojang warned the people of the area to be mindful of their land, accusing the Barrow government of targeting the area for land grabbing.
