GFF LEADERSHIP HOLDS TALKS WITH BARROW

The president of the Gambia Football Federation (GFF), Kemo Ceesay, on Friday led a delegation to State House for a high level discussion with President Adama Barrow on Gambian football.

The GFF president was accompanied by First Vice President Muhammadou Momodou Jagana and Deputy General Secretary, Director of Admin & National Teams, Ousman Drammeh.

The meeting focused on vital areas for the growth of Gambian football, especially government’s support for national teams. With both the men’s U-17 and U-20 teams having successfully qualified for the Afcon next year, there is a chance for Gambia to attain three Afcons with the Scorpions also in strong position to reach the 2027 Afcon.

The meeting also discussed the GFF’s infrastructure development projects as well as advancing plans to professionalise the domestic league.

President Barrow reaffirmed his government’s full commitment to supporting the GFF and driving football development across the country.
